Wild Hogge Varietals - Moongate 2021
WILD HOGGE 2012 MOONGATE 88 Points - Wine Enthusiast This wine is a blend of Primitivo 75%, Cabernet Franc 12.5%, and Syrah 12.5%, all sourced from neighboring vineyards. Primitivo, an Italian Zinfandel, contributes an unique taste of rich ripe fruit. The Cab Franc adds a little black pepper, and the spicy Syrah balances out the richness of the Primitivo. Matured in American oak for 2 years and in the bottle for another 2 years, the wine exhibits a powerful aroma of earthiness and dark berry fruit. The palate has a rich texture and notes of blackberry jam. Will go well with any lamb dish or rich Italian meal. 177 cases were produced.

WILD HOGGE 2013 TREE FROG This blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and bold with spices and depth. The fruity spice and black pepper with a hint of nutmeg from the Syrah compliment the black currants, blackberry and green olive of the Cabernet Sauvignon to create a bright and fruit driven wine. This wine pairs well with a BBQ steak or portabella mushroom dinner.
